Color Fizzing: A Sparkling Sensory Experience at the Crèche Les Mousquetaires
A smiling child holds a spoon over a tub filled with baking soda, in which a few touches of effervescent color appear.
At the nursery, every moment of the day is an opportunity to marvel and learn. This week, our little ones took part in a colourful and sensory experience: Color Fizzing!
A gentle scientific activity
Colorful sparkling result of scientific activity with vinegar and baking soda
With baking soda, vinegar and a few drops of food coloring, the children observed the magic of an effervescent chemical reaction. They experimented by freely pouring the liquids over the powder, discovering the immediate effects of their gestures.
A living sensory exploration
Children exploring together a sensory activity with foaming textures
The result? A frothy texture, vibrant colors, and lots of laughs! This activity allowed the children to explore different tactile sensations: softness, lightness, freshness... while developing their motor skills and autonomy.
Learning at stake
Materials used for sensory activity: vinegar, baking soda, coloured cups
The objective was simple: to experiment, to observe, to describe. Enriched by the awakening to languages (French and Luxembourgish), the activity also stimulated language and interactions.
