A bridge in the forest: toddlers discover, imagine, and build

A few weeks ago, our little adventurers had a great experience in the forest: building a bridge with a rope and branches! A very simple activity... and yet full of learning!

What they did

  • A rope was stretched between two tree branches.

  • The children looked for small branches around them.

  • They placed the branches one by one on the rope to create a bridge.

  • Together, they observed how it moved, how it held... and have found ideas to make it work!

Why is it magical?

  • They learn without realizing it: they discover balance, test what works and what doesn't.

  • They manipulate, try, start again — that's engineering at their scale!

  • They decorate with moss, leaves, and very personal ideas.

  • They cooperate, wait their turn, encourage each other.

What we remember
This activity is part of our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) approach, adapted to toddlers. Here, it is the forest that becomes the classroom, and the children who become creators of the world around them.

What if your child also lived these beautiful adventures?
With us, every week is a new exploration. A stone's throw from the forest, nature becomes a living classroom, and each activity is designed to awaken the curiosity, confidence and imagination of the little ones.

Are you looking for a warm, creative and caring place for your child from 0 to 4 years old? Come and discover our world and meet our passionate team.
